I understand that feeling invisible can be a major challenge for midlife women. Society often sends the message that we're less valuable or interesting as we age, which can be incredibly frustrating and demoralising. But here's the thing: you are not invisible. You are vibrant, powerful, and worthy of being seen and heard.
Challenge the narrative - Don't accept the societal narrative that tells you you're fading into the background. Recognise that this is a harmful stereotype and actively challenge it. Look for examples of amazing midlife women who are making a difference in the world, such as Michelle Obama, Viola Davis, or Meryl Streep. Look close to home, the women who challenge the norm, who turn off the volume to those negative whispers and can’t do attitudes.  These women prove that we can be powerful and visible at any age.
Reclaim your voice - Be bold and speak up and share your thoughts and ideas. Whether it's in a meeting at work, a conversation with friends, or a social media post, don't be afraid to let your voice be heard. The world needs your unique perspective!  We don’t have to conform or do what is expected of us; if we choose, we can stand up and choose a path that allows us to shine.
Shine your light - The world needs your light! Don't be afraid to share your gifts and talents with the world. Whether it's through your work, your art, your volunteer work, or simply by being a kind and compassionate person, you have something unique to offer.
. You are powerful, you are worthy, and you are seen. So go out there and shine your light!
However, if you feel like something is missing, perhaps your career is no longer inspiring you, or you're stuck in an unhappy relationship or don’t recognise who you are anymore, then perhaps it is time to craft your new identity.
